TechInStra Ltd ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of users of our QuickBooks Einvoicing application ("the App"). This Privacy Policy outlines how we handle data in relation to your use of the App.


1. Overview

QuickBooks Einvoicing is a lightweight QuickBooks Online integration that enables users to process and fiscalise invoices through the Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA). The App processes data via secure webhooks and APIs but does not store, retain, or share any personal or financial data.


2. Information We Process

While using the App, the following types of information are temporarily processed:

  • Invoice data from your QuickBooks Online account (e.g., customer name, invoice total, tax breakdown)
  • Fiscalisation response data from the MRA

Important Note:

  • All data is processed in-transit only and is not stored or retained by the App.
  • We do not collect, log, or create backups of any invoice, customer, or financial data.


3. Data Handling and Storage

  • No Data Storage: We do not store any personal, financial, or transactional data on our servers or systems.
  • No Logging: We do not log request or response bodies from QuickBooks or MRA integrations.
  • No Analytics: The App does not track user activity or contain analytics or cookies.


4. How Data is Used

Invoice data is used exclusively for the purpose of:

  • Transmitting invoice details from QuickBooks to the MRA
  • Updating fiscalised information back into QuickBooks

The App does not use your data for:

  • Marketing
  • Analysis
  • Resale
  • Profiling


5. Data Security

While the App does not store any data, we use industry-standard encryption protocols (such as HTTPS/TLS) to ensure secure transmission between:

  • QuickBooks Online and our App
  • Our App and the MRA API

We continuously monitor and update our infrastructure for potential vulnerabilities and apply security best practices.


6. Third-Party Services

The App connects to:

  • QuickBooks Online (by Intuit Inc.)
  • Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA) APIs

Your use of these third-party services is subject to their own privacy policies and terms of use. We are not responsible for how these platforms handle your data.


7. Your Responsibilities

As a user of the App, you are responsible for:

  • Ensuring your QuickBooks account complies with applicable data protection laws
  • Managing your data within QuickBooks and MRA portals


8. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.


9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App constitutes your agreement to the revised terms.
